The world’s response to SEVENTEEN, who made a comeback on the 22nd, is scorching.

Last Friday, the 13-member group dropped its 9th mini album “Attacca,” which immediately sparked enthusiastic responses from K-pop fans.

In particular, they once again achieved the “million-seller” title even before their official comeback after recording 1.41 million copies in just a day after the pre-order period was opened.

SEVENTEEN, who debuted in 2015; however, didn’t achieve popularity overnight. They had to wait five years since its debut before becoming officially a million-seller with its seventh mini-album “Heng:garæ” released last year.

In about two years, SEVENTEEN speedily secured the title of “Quadruple million sellers” after four consecutive million sales with its albums including its unique album “Semicolon,” its third full-length album “An Ode,” and its eighth mini-album “Your Choice.” K-pop enthusiasts are now focused if SEVENTEEN will be promoted as “Quintuple million-seller” with “Attacca.”

Aside from its album sales, SEVENTEEN’s position in local and international charts also attracted the attention of fans.

SEVENTEEN, who first entered 15th place on the U.S. Billboard’s main album chart, “Billboard 200” with its previous album “Your Choice,” strengthened its position in the British and American regions by appearing on various famous U.S. TV shows at the time.

At a recent press conference, SEVENTEEN elevates its expectations to aim for the top spot in the Billboard 200.

“Have a big dream, even if it is broken, the sculpture is big. That’s why we think we need to set a big goal of winning first place,” SEVENTEEN said, expressing their new goal.

As SEVENTEEN is consistently cementing their name in the global market, there are anticipations if their rapid growth will put them in the position as new pillars of HYBE as the “second BTS”?

The media outlet pointed out that SEVENTEEN’s move is reminiscent of BTS, a senior group belonging to HYBE Labels.

The “stair-style growth” created by the members of solid teamwork and the positive synergy of the members with self-production skills are representative commonalities between the two teams.

The “Power of Message,” which the two teams put into the album through music, is similar.

On top of that, HYBE’s experience, which has already succeeded in targeting the British-American region once through BTS’s entry into the U.S. market, is also expected to have a significant impact on solidifying SEVENTEEN’s global position.
