These 10 K-Pop Groups are Also Signed Under US Labels

As K-Pop sees a huge rise in popularity and influence all over the globe, we are also seeing more and more groups and soloists beginning to venture into international waters. With several K-Pop groups seeing major success overseas, it only makes sense that numerous music labels in the US are interested in signing them on.

With that, here are 10 K-Pop groups that are also signed under US labels!

1. ATEEZ

Despite being a rookie group at the time, ATEEZ signed with RCA Records, a music label under Sony Music Entertainment in July 2019. RCA Records is home to artists such as Khalid, Britney Spears, ZAYN, Miley Cyrus, Doja Cat, Shakira, A$AP Rocky, Childish Gambino and more.

2. TXT

Another group who was able to sign with a US label despite their rookie status was TXT! In March 2019, TXT signed with Republic Records to manage their distribution in the US. Republic Records’s current artist lineup include Taylor Swift, The Weeknd, Post Malone, Nicki Minaj, Drake and Ariana Grande.

3. (G)I-DLE

Just like TXT, (G)I-DLE is also signed under Republic Records. They joined the label back in 2020 to expand into the US market.

4. BTS

In 2018, K-Pop phenomenon BTS signed with Columbia Records for their US promotions. After three years with the label, BTS decided to join Universal Music Group in 2021, with their licensing under Geffen Records and distribution managed by INgrooves.

5. NCT 127

In 2019, NCT 127 joined forces with Capitol Music Group and its subsidiary Caroline Distribution for the group’s marketing and distribution, respectively.

6. SuperM

Just like NCT 127, SM Entertainment’s supergroup SuperM is also signed with Capitol Music Group and Caroline Distribution since August 2019.

7. TWICE

In February 2020, top girl group TWICE also signed with Republic Records, joining TXT and (G)I-DLE. According to JYP Entertainment, Republic Records handles TWICE’s US promotions as part of a partnership they have.

8. BLACKPINK

Back in October 2018, BLACKPINK joined label Interscope Records for their promotions in the US. Artists under Interscope Records include Billie Eilish, DJ Snake, Lana Del Rey, Selena Gomez, Lady Gaga, Machine Gun Kelly, Olivia Rodrigo, Zedd and more.

9. MONSTA X

In 2019, MONSTA X signed with Sony Music Entertainment’s Epic Records for their English tracks and distribution in the US and outside of South Korea. Epic Records is home to artists such as Travis Scott, Camila Cabello, DJ Khaled, Fifth Harmony, and Meghan Trainor, among others.

10. SEVENTEEN

Just like BTS, SEVENTEEN is currently signed under Universal Music Group with Geffen Records since May 2021. Geffen Records will be handling SEVENTEEN’s US promotions and distribution. Geffen Records’ artist roster includes Olivia Rodrigo, LILHUDDY, and had Marshmello, DJ Snake, and more.
