About her inspiration, Sorn revealed that a Thai K-pop idol was the one who motivated her to pursue a singing career in the Korean entertainment industry.

She confessed that she was inspired after witnessing all the love 2PM member Nichkhun was receiving from his Thai fans and how he was dubbed “Thai Prince” because of his incredible visuals and sweet personality.

Nichkhun is the very first Thai idol to step foot in the K-pop scene back in 2008 when he made his debut in 2PM under JYP Entertainment. Since then, many aspiring Thai singers look up to him, with GOT7 BamBam saying that the 2PM member “paved the way” for Thai K-pop idols.
Former CLC Sorn went on to talk about how she convinced her parents to let her go to Korea.

“At a young age, I thought I could be the ‘Thai Princess.’ So I decided to fly to Korea, telling my parents that I would be fine and that I could take care of myself,” the former CLC member shared.

“But I didn’t expect the training to be that hard,” Sorn continued. Because of this, she thought of giving up and returning to Thailand. So she contacted her parents after a few weeks of training and told them that she doesn’t want to stay there anymore because everything was hard for her.

But, she came to the point where she realized that not everyone is given the chance to train and debut as a K-pop idol. “So I decided to stop crying and change my mindset,” she concluded.
Sorn was only 15 years old when she went to Korea to train under CUBE Entertainment. She then trained for two years, from 2013 to 2015, and eventually debuted as a member of CLC in March 2015.

Ahead of departing from CLC and CUBE Entertainment in November of last year, Sorn made her solo debut with her first English digital single “RUN,” which was released in collaboration with WILD Entertainment, her current agency.

The former CLC member officially became an artist under WILD when she signed a contract with them on Dec. 2, 2021. And, on Feb. 25 this year, she made her first solo comeback with her second single “Sharp Objects.”

Like “RUN,” “Sharp Objects” entirely contains English lyrics. This electronic dance song expresses how loving someone can be as dangerous as playing with sharp objects.
As of writing, the music video for Sorn’s “Sharp Objects” has surpassed 670,000 views and 100,000 likes.
